Our philosophy of treating the whole child means developing a relationship with you before your baby is even born.
Now is the time to get answers to all those questions running around in your head. Will breastfeeding come naturally? Circumcision or no? How long until the baby sleeps through the night? Should he sleep on his back or his stomach? What kind of car seat should I bring him home in, and how do I know I installed it right? When can I start drinking coffee again?!
It’s natural to have these questions (and more!), and we can put your mind at ease with answers.
Schedule a prenatal appointment with the physician of your choice. We look forward to starting a relationship with you and your baby that will last for decades.
South Lake Pediatrics also offers specialized new baby services:
Lactation Consultation: Studies show how important breastfeeding is for an infant’s health and growth. At South Lake Pediatrics, every one of our Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners (CPNPs) are specially trained and certified by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.
While some hospitals offer this service, we are unique in that we offer new moms a one-to-one ongoing relationship. Each of our six offices has a CPNP available to help you. Prevailing wisdom says that breastfeeding is supposed to come naturally. We know that sometimes that just isn’t how it works. Let us help you and your new baby get comfortable with one another.
Newborns Who Need Special Care: As experts in infant primary care, South Lake Pediatrics has strong working relationships with neonatologists to provide expertise for the high-risk newborn, both during delivery and during the initial critical stage.
