Medical Interests

I enjoy practicing all areas of general pediatrics. I love helping first time parents and easing worries some kids experience at the doctor. Mental Health is also a large portion of my practice. I enjoy building long term relationships with families.

Where is your hometown?

White Bear Lake, MN

Why did you become a pediatrician?

I always chose jobs working with kids when I was growing up. I had my rotation in pediatrics as a medical assistant and it felt like I had put on a perfectly fit shoe!

How would your friends and family describe you?

I’m energetic and a problem solver. My patients take up a good portion of my heart.

When you are not working, what do you like to do for fun?

I like to spend time with family, run, read, and do anything outside.

Anything else you’d like to share in your bio?

I’m married to my medical school classmate, Tim Schaefer (plastic surgery). We have a daughter and a son who have grown up too quickly. I played college tennis and love to watch almost any sporting event.
